Information and products on display at the Union Tech Inc. and RP Sales America, Inc. booth #917 at the Rapid & TCT expo in Pittsburgh will help attendees “Explore Fresh Dimensions in Stereolithography!” What is fresh about the first additive manufacturing (AM) technology?
The UnionTechTM RSPro 600, an intermediate-sized SL machine will be on display. Attendees will be able to examine the features that set this equipment apart from the competition: full freedom of choice for materials and vendors, exceptional sidewall quality and design features that contribute to cost-effective ownership for the lifetime of the machine
Union Tech and RPSA, the North American distributor of UnionTech equipment, will have a variety of displays and activities that highlight the features and benefits of SL as a tool for AM that far transcends prototyping, while adding to the range of RP solutions.
Fresh dimensions in electroplated AM will be highlighted through a display of the new Union Tech Inc. Metal-Clad Composite Project. Pictured below is a CAD model of a bridge. The footstool that is being built in keeping with the Rapid & TCT conference’s salute to the bridges of Pittsburgh that will demonstrate the design complexity achievable with SL as well as the structural enhancement of metal-clad composites. Attendees will be able to have a hands-on experience with metal-clad SL structural demo blocks (pictured below) and break bars produced on Union Tech Inc. equipment and coated by RePliForm.
While investment casting patterns are a well established SL application, attendees will explore a fresh approach to light-weighting parts and manufacturing investment casting patterns via a virtual reality (VR) experience. Professionals will learn how light-weighting AM parts will help reduce overall costs.
A display of SL injection molds will help demonstrate how UnionTech SL equipment and the latest in composite SL formulations enable new business models to create fresh avenues of application for SL rapid tooling. Plus, attendees can sign up to receive a white paper available after the event: “Explore Fresh Dimensions in Stereolithography,” that will expand on the themes demonstrated at the exhibition.
